OUR SCHOOL APARTMENT

Ben was at the School yesterday, and took these pictures. They aren't the best we have, but they are all together, in one folder, and I know where they are. When I come across the better ones, I'll post them. These are the stairs leading up to the second floor. There's another set just like these on the other side. Imagine all the kids that must have used these stairs in the 55+ years the School was open. We know a couple, that went to every grade in this School, and married right out of High School. They still live in the town. They've told us numerous stories.
This is the second floor landing. Kinda dark right now. At the top of the stairs, to the left is what used to be the library/auditorium, until the school was added on to.
We plan to use this area as a game room. Pool tables, pin ball machines, etc.
Across the hall, is where we lived while we were there. It was built just for that. Everything in the entire apartment, except the bed, was discovered under piles of garbage, and I "built a home" out of it. I'll post pictures of that later. I have major, before and after pictures. 3 months to clean it out, 3 months to tear down walls, pull up carpet and tile, take down drop ceilings. And 6 months to build the house my parents were going to live in.
Out the door, and across the hall, is the library/auditorium. This was our eating area.
Another picture of the same area.
Door leading into the bedroom/sitting area/2 offices, etc. area. It was all in one room.
These are our wedding flowers. My sister, Susan made them for us. She "made" our entire wedding.
An old hoosier cabinet.
A beautiful old clock.
My office area.
Ben's office area.
Some of the trophies that the School won over the years.
The bedroom area.
Our closet.
And our bathroom.

You are so nice to keep returning, I really appreciate that. And, again I want to thank you for getting my mojo working again. I'd love to really talk to you sometime. Thanks for everything!
